A fire burning in Yosemite National Park in California closed campgrounds and roads on Wednesday, August 16. The South Fork Fire has burned nearly 2,300 acres, stood at 5 percent contained, and was growing.

The national park remained open, including its main entrances on Highway 41 and Highway 140. Officials warned Glacier Point Road could close periodically if the Glacier Point parking area filled. Credit: Instagram/Sierra Fire Watch via Storyful
