The Thomas fire continued to burn through Ventura County on Tuesday, December 12, setting off more evacuations and scorching over 230,000 acres of land.

The fire has been 25 per cent contained, according to local news source Ventura County Star, and fire crews have been successful in slowing growth in recent days due to calmer winds creating more favorable conditions for tackling the blaze.
