Swaths of Gaza City were destroyed by Israeli bombardments in response to Hamas’s attack over the weekend.

Footage of the aftermath in central Gaza City shows residential and commercial buildings reduced to rubble and structures collapsing.

Local sources said that Israel targeted the city’s commercial center, the Rimal neighborhood, in an attack on Monday, October 9.

The death toll from airstrikes on Gaza rose to at least 687 on Tuesday, October 10, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported.
